USC has been struggling with problems with its telematics system, but is still confident that the system is working properly. The telematics system is used for on-campus lectures, but it also supports distance learning. USC students can access lectures, classrooms, and even the library remotely. They can also complete online assignments.
Student-run campus
The University of Southern California has launched a Sacramento-specific virtual visit for prospective students. The virtual visit offers a look at USC’s campus and includes information on academics, student life, the application process, financial aid, and more. The tours typically last 45-60 minutes. The tours are free and open to the public.
Online learning platform
The Campus virtual USC online learning platform gives USC faculty and students access to the campus environment in a digital environment. Faculty members and students will also receive training in how to engage students and foster learning in a digital environment. Faculty will develop an enabling attitude toward online learning and develop strategies for delivering courses online.
USC’s IT team is working to create an online hub to support students and faculty. The new portal will allow students to collaborate and share resources. Trojans can connect from anywhere in the world with a computer. IT staff will create and manage content to improve learning experience. A virtual campus will bring Trojans together across continents, time zones, disciplines, and operating systems.
Students can use Campus virtual USC’s interactive tool to conduct fieldwork and complete other coursework. Students will also access USC’s library system, which is robust and easy to use. In addition, students can access USC’s career services, health insurance, and IT support.
Transfer Tuesdays
Whether you’re transferring to USC or are looking for transfer information, you’ll find that there are many events and resources on campus to help you get started. The USC Transfer Center, for instance, offers a number of virtual events that you can participate in. These are great for helping you determine whether USC is right for you.
USC has a variety of virtual courses that fulfill the university’s core requirements. Some of these courses are even endorsed by the university. For example, the AUP EN2020 Writing & Criticism course fulfills the USC core writing requirement. AUP also offers a variety of courses in Paris, France, Europe, and other disciplines. You can even take an online course in French or another language at AUP. However, you should pre-register for these courses.
COVID test
If you live on campus or are affiliated with USC, you may be eligible to take the COVID test for campus virtual. The program is open to campus residents, faculty and staff, approved contractors, and USC students. Those who pass the test must report positive results to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. You should be wary of people who pretend to be others to obtain the test, as it may take longer to trace the contact and can lead to disciplinary action from the university.
The university is not the only one affected by the outbreak. More than 200 students living on-campus have tested positive for COVID-19. The first week of January saw more than 200 students test positive. The campus does not have enough isolation beds. Some students, who live in multi-bedroom apartments, were told to isolate themselves in their rooms.
The university is also holding virtual classes during the first two weeks of the new semester to ease the strain on campus. It has been reported that students have had more cases than students at larger schools. It is important to note that students and faculty will have to take the COVID test as early as possible to avoid the outbreak.
